Information about auditions for principal roles
Auditions for our February 2025 production of Gilbert & Sullivan's The Sorcerer will take place on 24th June 2024 from 7pm.
The audition pieces are available here. If you are interested in auditioning for any of the roles please contact our auditions secretary with a completed audition form in order to arrange an audition slot.
Please note that if you are successful a contribution fee of up to £160 is payable to Southgate Opera
Show week is 12th - 15th February 2025. The production will be fully staged with orchestra.

Please note that if you join the chorus you will be expected to pay a fee to the company of £120.
Rehearsals take place weekly on Monday evenings 7.30 -10pm (Principals and chorus)
and Sunday afternoons, 2pm - 5pm (Principals)
Nearer to the show chorus may be called on Sundays
It is our policy that auditions for principal roles are open to both company members and non company members.
In this way we attract talented outsiders, who are considering a professional career in opera, to work alongside company members who have joined the chorus and moved up to take principal roles
Please note, audition times will be allocated after the return of audition forms.
